Does it really cost me anything?
Hosting is free. There is no setup fee and no monthly fee. You give it a spot and cover the small amount of electricity it uses, and that is it.
Do I make money from it?
Yes. You earn a percentage of the gross rental revenue at your station, paid monthly by direct deposit. The exact percentage is in your agreement, and we go over it when we talk. To get paid, you add your bank details through a link we email you. What you earn depends on how many people use it, so a busy spot earns more.
How do my customers use it?
They tap the screen, pay by card or phone, take a power bank with USB-C and Lightning cables built in, and return it to any station when they are done. The price is shown on the screen before anyone rents.
Who maintains it?
We do, all of it. We handle restocking, cleaning, and repairs. If it ever acts up, send one text and we take care of it. You never have to fix or manage anything.
How much space does it need?
It is a stand-up unit that needs a little floor space and one standard wall outlet. We walk the spot with you and place it where it stays out of the way.
What if my customers don't use it?
Then we move it or take it back, no hard feelings. If it is not earning its spot, it should not be there.
Is there a contract?
Yes, a short one. We email JB Charging's vendor agreement and you sign it online. In plain terms: it is free to host, you earn a commission on the gross rental revenue at your station, repairs and upkeep are on us, and you cover its electricity. It starts with a one-month term, then either side can end it with 14 days' notice, and the station goes back within 30 days.
